Introduction

Profit Vows ("I", "me", "my") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy sets out what information I collect, how I use it, how long I keep it, and your rights under UK GDPR.

By using this website or sending an enquiry, you confirm that you've read and understood this policy.

Who I Am

Profit Vows is a UK-based business management consultancy run by a single person, focused on financial analysis and profit strategy for wedding industry businesses. I'm the data controller for any personal data collected through this website.

For any data-related questions, please email: [email protected]

Data I Collect

When you fill in the contact or enquiry form, I collect:

Identity & Contact Data: Your business name and email address.

Business Data: Your website URL, industry type, and which package you're enquiring about.

Communication Data: Anything you write in the message field.

Financial Data (at intake stage only): If you go on to buy a report, you'll send me financial records like bank statements, invoices, and expense data. This is used only to write your report and isn't kept once the report is delivered.

I don't take payment card details directly. Payments go through third-party payment processors that operate under their own PCI-DSS compliant policies.

How I Use Your Data

I only use your personal data for the following:

To reply to your enquiry — reading your form submission and getting in touch with next steps.

To deliver the consultancy service — going through the financial data you send and writing your bespoke report.

To meet legal obligations — keeping records as required by UK law.

I don't use your data for automated decision-making, profiling, or sending unsolicited marketing without your explicit consent.

Cookies

I use essential cookies to make sure the website runs properly. These cookies don't track you across other sites and aren't used to collect personal data for advertising.

By accepting cookies on the site, you're agreeing to this. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies, though it might affect how the site works.

Data Security

I take the security of your data seriously. Anything you send to Profit Vows is handled with appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss.

Any financial data you send during intake is treated as confidential and isn't shared with anyone else. Once your report has been delivered and the engagement is over, your intake data is securely deleted.

Data Sharing

I don't sell, rent, or trade your personal data with anyone. Your data will never go to advertisers or marketing companies.

In limited cases, I may share data with trusted service providers who help me run the website (such as my hosting provider, Netlify), strictly for operational reasons and under appropriate data processing agreements.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions and emails are kept for up to 24 months so I can respond to any follow-up questions.

Financial intake data sent for the purpose of report production is deleted within 30 days of the report being delivered.

You can ask for earlier deletion at any time — see Your Rights below.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of Access — You can ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you.

Right to Rectification — You can ask me to correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete.

Right to Erasure — You can ask me to delete your personal data, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Right to Restrict Processing — You can ask me to pause the processing of your data in certain circumstances.

Right to Object — You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, please email [email protected]. I'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not happy with my response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
